You work under direction of the Chief Engineer
You maintain the electrical/electronical equipment of the vessel and the ROV, if applicable
You detect, report and solve electrical/electronical problems
You have thorough knowledge of high and low voltage systems and PLC's
You read electrical drawings easily
You observe the quality, health, safety and environmental system
You have a Bachelor or Master degree in electrical/electronic engineering or a rounded vocational/technical/engineering education or an education in a similar field
By preference, you have some work experience in the maritime/offshore field
You are able to motivate, guide and evaluate colleagues in order to assure optimal productivity
Preferably but not necessary, you have a Certificate of Competency Electro-Technical Rating III/7 or Electro-Technical Officer III/6
Preferably but not necessary, you have a valid STCW VI/1 Basic Safety Training
You are communicative and problem solving
You have a hands-on and no nonsense mentality
You speak and write English fluently
You have no problem with being away from home for 4-5-6 weeks, depending on the type of vessel you work on
